Wayne Janisch
Wayne Janisch is a self-taught artist based in Malvern, Worcestershire, working primarily in oils. He was born and raised in Margate on the Kent coast - a location once favoured by JMW Turner, who famously remarked to John Ruskin, “the skies over Thanet are the loveliest in all Europe.” The Thanet skies continue to shape Wayne’s artistic practice.
With an instinctive, gestural approach to painting, Wayne uses texture as a foundation to create living, breathing ‘mindscapes’.
His inspiration comes from nature and the elements, blending them to produce an emotional synergy that evokes contemplation, discovery, and ultimately, hope.
Above all, light is the key to all of Wayne’s paintings.
