Beaded Jewellery Workshop 7th June

Service Description

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will design and thread your own necklace and matching earrings or pendant to a professional standard. Learn essential techniques including working with tigertail and polyester thread, threading beads onto wire, creating your own findings from jewellery and fused wire, and using commercial findings with confidence. You’ll explore a variety of bead types—round, briolette, chips—and discover how to use them effectively in your designs. Pliers and other specialist tools will be demonstrated and provided for all participants. Time permitting, there will also be a demonstration of pearl threading. Your workshop fee includes a complete pack of sterling silver findings—earring studs or hooks, lobster clasps, bolt rings, jump rings, silver head pins, and crimps—along with gimp, jewellery wire (silver and gilt-plated), tigertail, and polyester thread. A selection of base metal findings is available at no extra cost, and a small range of silver and semi-precious beads and spacers can be purchased at cost price. Participants are encouraged to bring their own beads if they wish to rethread existing pieces. All tools and equipment are supplied, so you can simply turn up and create. Please bring a packed lunch or take advantage of the many food outlets in the town. Light refreshments will be available throughout the session.
